Plot

Nico's (Zaijan Jaranilla) hundrum daily existence simply cannot compete with the fantasy life he leads in the world's most popular MMORPG—METANOIA, as the swashbuckling vagabond Zero, together with his friends: the spiritist Mang Ernie (Jairus Aquino), renegade chi-master K'mao, apprentice weapon-smith Sumpak (Aaron Junatas), folk hero Ahdonis (Basty Alcances) and the beast master Cassandra (Mika Dela Cruz), they explore Metanoia's vast virtual landscape in search of untold on-line fortune and glory!

When a malevolent force surfaces and threatens to consume everything they hold dear, the fate of two worlds fall upon the shoulder of one very unlikely champion. One who must first find way to burst out of his shell and discover the true hero within-before it's too late!

Synopsis

Dayo is a heartwarming story of overcoming one's fear and succeeding over adversity. The plot revolves around Bubuy (voiced by Nash Aguas) who is out to save his abducted grandparents in the land of Elementalia, a magical and mystical world that houses many of the Philippines' mythical creatures and other enchanted elements. This locally produced animated film aims to reintroduce the other side of mythical creatures like the tikbalang, kapre, manananggal, and aswang by giving a new dimension to these typically reviled creatures.

Urduja is the second locally-made full-length tagalog animated movie made by world-class filipino animators produced by Tony Tuviera’s APT Entertainment with Vic Sotto. This groundbreaking animated film boasts a star-studded voice cast that includes Regine Velasquez as Princess Urduja, Eddie Garcia as Lakanpati, Johnny Delgado as Wang, Allan K as Tarsir, Michael V. as Kukut, and Cesar Montano as Lim Hang.

Princess Urduja ancient accounts say, was a 14th century woman ruler of the dynastic Kingdom of Tawalisi in Pangasinan, a vast area lying by the shores of the Lingayen Gulf and the China Sea. Known far and wide, Princess Urduja was famous for leading a retinue of woman warriors who were skilled fighters and equestrians. They developed a high art of warfare to preserve their political state. “These womenfolk took to the battlefields because the male population was depleted by the series of wars which came with the rise and prominence of the Shri-Visayan Empire in the sixth to the 13th centuries,” the accounts said. Strong and masculine physique, they were called kinalakian or Amazons.

Urduja is a locally-made full-length tagalog animated movie made by world-class Filipino animators.

Urduja is actually a legendary warrior-princess who is recognized as a heroine in the province of Pangasinan.

Philippines’ first Filipino Animation Film --- Blended with Live Action
Movie: Ibong Adarna

The first Filipino full-length animation movie, based on the story of the Adarna bird. Gerry Garcia wrote the story and directed Adarna under FLT Productions and Guiding Light Productions. Adarna received recognition from the Metro Manila Film Festival on December 27, 1997 as the first animated movie in Philippine cinema. In 1988, it was also included in the Asian Collection of Japan’s 7th Hiroshima Animation Festival.

The first ever animation film blended with live action is Star Cinema’s “Ibong Adarna.”

Ibong Adarna” is the first Filipino film to use animation blended but it is a little similar to the 1988 film “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”.
